1. Snorkel with a turtle

A truly magical experience, it is extremely common for turtles to be swimming just off Catseye Beach so grab a snorkel and jump in!


2. Visit Whitehaven Beach

This one isn't technically on Hamilton Island but is a must-see when you are so close. Voted as one of the best beaches in the world, it's pristine waters and fine white silica sand formations will take your breath away.


3. Drive a golf buggy

Trust that you will be very envious of all of the other holidaymakers in their golf buggies if you attempt to explore the island on foot. Golf buggies are the only way to get around and are environmentally sustainable.


4. Enjoy a cocktail at sunset on One Tree Hill

This is a must, with sweeping views of the Whitsundays, a stunning sunset and a drink in your hand to complete it.


5. Walk up to Passage Peak

A bushwalk will take you up to the highest point on the island and the view is definitely worth it.


6. Eat your way around the island

With a large range of food options from five star fine dining to pub meals, the food is excellent no matter where you go


7. Get your adrenaline pumping

There are a a few options for the daredevil in you such as water skiing, jet ski tours and high speed power boats that require you to wear a seatbelt and strap in for a wild time.


8. Play a game of golf on Dent Island

Dent Island is directly across the channel, overlooking Hamilton Island, and the entire island is dedicated to the 18-hole course. A boat takes you over for the day and you can enjoy lunch and drinks too.


9. Relax by the pool or on the beach

No one travels all the way to the Whitsundays to exhaust themselves with activites; a favourite pastime for guests and staff alike is simply relaxing with a book and a cocktail, while soaking up the amazing tropical weather.


10. Sample the water sports on Catseye Beach

Head down to the beautiful stretch of beach to try out some of the water sports. Options include stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing.
